Acmoc store and club Decals

Caterpillar once had a no orphan policy. If it was Caterpillar, you could buy parts! That all changed, business models and practices changed, those models are based on profit/loss. No business (including clubs as example) can withstand loss, especially when the product is a specialty and demand is low.
The more diversified a business becomes, the greater the necessary inventory and that inventory must be constantly moved, not sitting on a shelf.
Simply put, the demand for items must justify the expense to maintain an inventory and that includes all parts of that inventory, from purchase to delivery.

The board is working on this situation, they are aware of the expectations and it will take time to work through the issues.
Their task is overwhelming, give them the support and understanding as they try to find resolutions to this longstanding problem.

Cat has many! other franchises out there, clothing, shoes, toys, etc with different companies, if they were so about keeping the Caterpillar "heritage" alive they could some how help out. It's ridiculous that you cant even get the old Cat highway yellow paint anymore! John Deere still supplies the old JD green yet, why not Cat??????

Look all I'm after is decals. If the club would just give me a straight answer on are they available from there old stock or their supplier is all I'm asking for. Hard to finish restorations without them. The club used to help the people out in need but it sure doesn't seem that way anymore. Every time I've asked for over a year now I've gotten is a big run around. I've been told by others in the club that there are still kits or partials available. Is this true? I'd like to know. If the club is in such bad financial shape as others have said you'd think they'd be happy to sell several sets of decals cause I'm looking to get severfor different machines. Yes I can go elsewhere but the ones they sold were about as perfect to the originals as possible with the original warning and saftey labels which is what I'm after.

Yoos Bros -- did you not send "barstart" a private message a couple weeks ago? Previous posts in this thread show such.
Did you follow through and ensure the message was received or that the reply reached you?

Sometimes the PM's get lost in the shuffle or missed.  Recommend to try again and also send a message to Sue at her regular email that can be obtained under the "about" tab if logged in as a member.
We all knew there would be a lot of hiccups in the re-organization but it causes more problems for some than others. Hopefully you can get your decals.

Yoos, I am sorry for the delay. Up until the end of January we had one full time and one part-time office staff that should have been able to fulfill your order, but apparently didn't, a situation that is very aggravating. The fact is, everyone has gotten a straight answer on this. Sue told you and all the deal and offered to assist. I would kindly remind her with the knowledge that Sue along with other board members has taken on a lot of tasks and works her buns off for the Club. Decals are particularly detailed and take some time to assemble, we will do the best we can.

As far as the comment regarding the Club being in "bad financial condition", nothing could be further from the truth. we are gaining new members daily, we have had a large number of long-expired members re-join the club, and financially, we are in far better shape than a year ago. Without question, all these things have (deservedly) taken the board's attention over these last several months.

I am not in any way "busting your chops" on this, I really feel bad for the situation as I know how important decals are to a project. Sue and I will chat and see what we can do, that is for sure.

Kurt

It is amazing that non members get so upset because they cannot get something from the club. They expect the club to serve them but they perform no services (or membership) to the club. Oh well, the world is full of takers. 99+% of our members are givers and not takers; The club is indebted to their unselfish sharing of time and knowledge.

if you have something for sale . sell it , all sales from the store is the place where profit comes from not the membership/mag .
