I have a d4 7u1358. Need to rebuild the lift cylinders looking for where and part numbers. The list of manuals and post are deep sea of knowledge. Looking for guidance

You need the parts catalog for the blade as there were changes over time to the hydraulic cylinder parts, see if you can find the serial number of the blade, should be on the backside top right of the blade, I think, if the tag is gone, look for two rivets or rivet holes in that area, scrape away the paint between the rivets and the number should be stamped there.

That same manual is uploaded in the members library, it sure helped me out. There are also lift cylinders in the No 44 hydraulic parts manual, but the part numbers don't match the blade parts manual

we just used all the part numbers in the type 44 control book.
dont bother with rechroming its too expensive and you can end up with a shaft you have to get remade anyway if it distorts during the process.
its cheaper and easier to have a machine shop make you new shafts using your rod ends. actually its the same method they use to make them in the first place
ray the machinist who did ours im sure was able to order the piston seals and gland seals from the dealer. he did both rams for around 900 bucks it was 700 just to chrome one shaft without labour at a local hydraulics place.
there is 2 styles either the "relief" valve is in the piston or in the rod itself all the one with the valve in the piston use the same piston seals 8f1148(doesnt show up must be superseded) and both styles use the same gland packing 4f8420 its a expensive little item $102.08 aud. any hydraulics joint should be able to match something up.
