Hello.   Can anyone tell me if the hydraulic pump from an 8U D6 will fit a 7J D4?

Thanks,

Dan G.

I just looked thru my No 44 Hydraulic Control parts book . It shows over 70 configurations. most are for D2 and D4s but it does lists a couple for D6. One configuration from the D6 matches a D4 7J. It is a 37 gallon per minute pump. Many of the D2 and D4 pumps are 25 gallon per minute. My guess is that they are all very similar with different plumbing and valving. Good Luck. Grant.

Are you referring to #44 pumps? Yes, there were some applications of #44 pumps mounted to "U" series D6's, also D7's and 8's.
More common to the 8/9U's was the #46 pump which would not readily adapt to the D4's

The pump or hydraulic control, if it is a #44 unit may be the same for both machines, there are some applications that show the same pump/hydraulic control, but all the other assocated parts like the mounts, drive shaft assembly, and everything else is different.

We will need more information to answer your question.
What is the problem with the pump/assembly, photos of the pump and complete blade assembly and tractor, any serial numbers on the unit.
Do you have access to a good complete #44 unit for your machine?
