Does anyone know what size/ #part number the bearing is. I thought they was the same on both sides of top pinion gear on the final drive. But it appears the one that goes in the final drive housing is smaller at least on the race part that presses on the shaft. I have the parts manual but it appears it doesn't list that part number.

I'm looking at the parts book for 17A11879 to 17A19442. The pinion bearings needed for one side are (3) 6B5163 roller assy. (3) 6B5162 race and (1) 6B5067 roller assy. (1) 9M5606.

The bearings on the top pinion are the same size. The same bearing is on the inner side of the lower pinion and a larger bearing (6B5067) is used on the outer side.

Thank you for your reply. With that being said I had both top pinions out on both sides replaced the right side I thought they was the same. But the race that's on the short side of the pinion not the splined side is a smaller diameter. I checked took a micrometer reading on them there smaller which makes me think the bearing in the final drive housing is differant

17a18538 is the serial number. I would have thought they would have been the same as the other bearing on the spline bearing. But it wasn't so I thought somebody had changed something so I checked the other final drive same thing and I couldn't see any bearing numbers so I looked at the manual and it didn't give a part # number for that particular bearing or race thought it might have been a typo or something.

The numbers I listed are supposed to be the correct ones. What has been done to those final drives in 60+ years? You might have to take the dimensions to a bearing supplier to get replacements. Easter Sunday has everyone busy elsewhere. I think Rome/KG or Old Magnet could help you later.

I used the 5P9176 rollers and 5P9177 races, these are an updated version, instead of the 6B5163 and 6B5162 numbers.
