Just wondering if the brain trust can give a rough value on a 1930 Ten Motor Patrol that’s been inherited? Apologies for the pic quality. Serial number is Z133.

Nice find. Too bad you don't have the rest of it. No idea on value. Whatever one is willing to pay I guess.

Correct me if I am wrong. The #10 Motor Patrol was powered by a TEN crawler. This appears to be a towed machine.

Looks like this one comes with an operator!!

The #10 Auto Patrol was a powered machine but I do not know anything about the pull type cat model graders.

According to the serial number book that FatDan scanned and that’s in the Tech Library, it’s definitely called a 10 Motor Patrol, doesn’t seem to be a lot on the web about them. Might be rare?

Hi, Folks.
For comparison purposes:

I think that both the #10 and the #11 were available in both single and tandem drive.

Just my 0.02

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, Deebo.
As I understand it, the Motor Patrol and the Auto Patrol were two different critters. The Auto Patrols were self-propelled with their own engine and drive train and powered controls. The Motor Patrols were designed to have one of the Cat gas crawlers of the time 'walk' into the frame to provide the power for the grader frame and were numbered according to the crawler they were designed for.

I think the larger unit on the far side of my third photo above is a Motor Patrol.

Hope this helps.

Just my 0.02..

I think someone grabbed the Ten out from under the grader. The rear wheels do not look right and appear to be on a solid axle that does not lean.
