Similar thoughts occurred to me. I thought it would need to have either hydrostatic drive or a danged good master clutch on a direct drive with a busy left arm. Hydrostatic would make more sense - pretty much set-n-ferget. Looks like a good job to teach a scraper operator some patience - - - - or send him to the rubber ranch.

What are they doing? Are they recovering land, or getting some sort of quarry material, or something else altogether?

It looks like the grinder might twin power units too.
