Getting much needed moisture here is welcomed. Sad part is our allocation for irrigation water is only 35%, and no word of receiving anymore. One could go on about lack of water storage and management of this precious resource, but it pretty much falls of deaf ears of the higher ups. Let's hope that everyone can stay dry for the time being and safe from some of the planned and not so planned flows of water. Time to put on your wet suit Deas. Helicopters? My parents went thru the "Flood of "55" here. Terrible situation. They had to take shelter in the rafters of the new home they hadn't occupied but 3 months; a dozen people including a couple of very wet and scared dogs called that their home for over a week; eventually rescue teams flew in and they hacked a hole in the roof to get each of them out. Sorry for the rambling. JM

Hi, juiceman.
There are a lot of stories like that of your parents surviving through floods and other disasters and some with less happy endings. Glad that yours was one of the happier ones
Not ready for the wet suit yet. Santa Margarita creek went DOWN at least 4 feet overnight. Still misting heavily here but not serious rain - supposed to be more of that on Tuesday. In the meantime, I go back to doing nothing until it dries out a goodly bit, which ain't gonna happen any time soon in the currently prevailing conditions. I think I have had 8 days when I could get out there and 'ackshully' DO something constructive since the second week of November last year
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
