Hi Guys
I would like to know what everyones thoughts are on this cab ?

is it genuine caterpillar or would of it been made buy Steelweld here in australia ?

Or is it just homemade ?

I bought this machine years ago and at the time i thought nothing of it and cut it of and scraped it. as time went on i have seen similar looking cabs which has made me wonder.

Cheers Dan

Looks like a genuine Cat canopy to me Dan, if you still have it and don't want it, I would be happy to help clean up your yard by taking it. I am not far away, Corryong.

That tractor also has split Idlers, not many split Idlers have survived. The tractor looks a lot more tidy than mine.

Regards, Wombat

Thanks Wombat

The canopy is long gone now mate it was that badly broken welded and patched I cut it up and put it in the scrap 🤦‍♂️not knowing what it was.
Another question would have it had timber slats on top ? Because I do remember there being bolts still through the angle iron up there.

I have since restored the machine and would love to build another canopy the same.

If it was constructed the same as the cab on my Sixty, it would have been timber (slats) overlaid with canvas. It would have been curved, the boards tapered to all fit neatly together.

Which side of Wagga are you on?
