Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what year my No.10 diesel auto patrol is. I think its a 1936 or 37 but not sure. Serial number is 9F1807. I put a 1946 power unit engine (serial number 1S4444) in shortly after i bought it cause the original engine had failure. I hope to repaint the rest next winter.

9f1807 built 1937 and the 9f chassis came with either gas or diesel engine, diesel engine was 5h serial prefix, and gas was 6h

To me the 'T' doesn't look factory. Looks like someone hand stamped it in the tag. I could be very wrong though.
Very nice find. 👍 looks like you won the lottery, nice shape 🤗

T is for tandem. And since it was not know whether grader was to be single or tandem, the T was hand stamped based on what it was atttached to., same as a lot of W or SP on tractors. They only machine stamped the basic number.

Cool, thanks! I've had it several years now. Someone had a 212 cab on it which I recently removed. I intend on making an original cab for it. My brother and I got all the dimensions to do so off a no.11 back in October.
