Hi, Folks.
Here is a link to an interesting video of a fishing expedition - - - for a 345D excavator:
Is it just faintly possible that somebody might have received some 're-training' over this incident????????????????
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, D4Jim.
Dunno if you've noticed or not but some people can manage to do as much or more damage sitting behind a desk as some field workers seem to manage.
Just an observation.

I suspect it’s a Volvo commercial. It’s terrible they shoved that CAT into the drink.

He was digging too close to himself and the bank gave way. He spun around to pull himself out. Once the counterweight came around the extra weight just slid it further in. It was now a huge mess. If he would have just let a dozer come pull him back while he pushed it would have been an easy revovery. And it wouldnt have resulted in a damaged machine. I have seen this happen before, except the water was 15' deep. It was major repairs to the machine and it had less than 200hrs on it when it happened!

Well, at least he had his hi-viz class 2 vest on so that everyone could see him...Gotta stay visible to other operators while you're standing on the track of your self created disaster while they try to get you back upright. Wonder if the phone call was the interview for the next job?
