Hi, ROME K/G.
HMMMMMMMMMMMM???????????????????????? Int'restin'.

Methinks there would be a LOTTTA times when it would feel as if the tractor was wearing 'high heels', as King Of Obsolete would say when referring to ice caulks. Might be O.K. in softer soils but some of the ground around here can have a D9T dozer on 27" dirt plates walking pretty much out of the ground so those 'rubbers' aren't going to get their best 'bite'.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I wonder if a fellow could make some of those, assuming reasonable access to the materials and gluing technology, whatever it is. I'd love a set of those on my tractor since it's just a toy and it would make messing around a lot less invasive than it could be. By the sounds of the description, they're attached presumably with bolts to the track pad, not replacing the existing four bolts that attach the pad to the rail?

Cheers,
Neil

Looks like they are bolted to some type of street pad. No tall steel grousers.

Had to work better than a belted unit. Some neighbors leased a belted 85 Challenger to chisel with. Results were not good on hard packed non till orchard floor; not enough traction slipping and sliding on the Bermuda grass. The rice guys here helped design the Diamond grip drive wheels, as the originals would plug up and spin out just like a loose fan belt.
Never seen the rubber grousers here.
My “Souza” D2 bolt on pads make walking down the street nice, although I’ve gotten funny looks from motorists! JM

Hi, Juiceman.
That reminds me of Bill Glen's D2 with the rubber 'boots' that he and Reggie useta be forever driving over his wife's favorite front lawn.

looks like they are a replacement grouser plate and bolt on to the track link as normal and those blocks are bolted onto the grouser from underneath with the bolts cast in place in the rubber same as a engine or trans mount on a car.
if you read the article is says thats what it is. (mind you that bit didnt scan well.)

for already worked ground it would be good and save getting bitched at by the shire council for marking up their roads.
