One of my friends keeps egging me on to post pictures - would it be fair to challenge others to share Caterpillar memories too?
Merry Christmas all and let us all hope for a New Year bringing good health and safety to each and all

Aaaaaahh Memories. The first pic reminds me of my first job with the identical scraper rig on a canal project by McCook NE. That was 50 some years ago

Keep em coming your friend probably says... please tell me what the weather was like that weekend. I did not go, even though I live only 30 minutes away.. I heard one notorious cat poacher had to be hauled off in an ambulance that day.

Hi, JM.
For me, it was comfortably warm - others might try to tell you that it was HOT. I was there from Thursday midday through Monday midday. It was a good show.
I didn't hear anything about ambulance trips but then I was either busy taking photos or busy annoying scraper operators in the sand pit.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

My little trip down memory lane. These pictures are nearly 30 years old. The first picture is my brother and I and that has to be late 80’s
Miss my dad but thank god for the pictures and memories.
Old Cat photos never get old, keep them coming.

Cool photos everyone. I wished that I had some pics to share from the "old days", but we only had one crawler way back then. I kept the D4C that my brother wanted to peddle off as non essential, that he bought second hand back in the early 80's.
Robert: really neat how you have kept your dads tradition alive by rescuing and rehabilitating injured CATs. BTW, saw your recent video of you making a pass thru the orchard with a disk; I am envious, as it is too wet here to do the same. Seems like my own tradition was to fire up a crawler at our mom's open field and till it up after Thanksgiving or Christmas!
Thank you for sharing. JM

"hear" have no idea if you are speaking or just moving your lips!
Way too many hours in and around SRCEAMING JIMMY'S -- They were fantastic for leaking oil, and making lots of noise!
As "our" snowfighting fleet was powered with Detroit's - 4-71's in AW Graders - 6/53 and 12v71's in the blowers - you can understand the damages from long extended hours in those machines.
Even the modern technological advances in Hearing Aids does nothing to repair the damage to one's ears - all from unprotected and unknowing exposures!
PROTECT YOUR HEARING --
