Hi, Kurt.
Thanks for the heads-up. We have never previously HAD video posted giving us feedback on what is happening in the club.
The previous best source of information for club members was the late George Howard who would go out of his way to let members know what was happening behind the scenes, first as club secretary and later as minutes secretary.
R.I.P George.
The 'onion king' did some information sharing too for a while - until he went over to the 'dark side'. Then that STOPPED. DEAD.
Just my 0.02.

Hello Kurt,
Nicely done on video and donor cultivation.
This question may be premature. Have you and the BoD speculated the purpose(s) of the funding? Operating expense, which is not typically an incubator for growth, or special projects such as Club development / compliance?
Big thanks to the “donor” as well as the Foundation.

Bernie - Great question and I should have addressed it. The benefactor requested that no more than 50% go to operating the Club and no less than 50% go to special projects of the Board's choosing but prefers that those projects enhance member value, attract new members, or both. Once we get a "grand total" we will have "funds" established that account for the dollars that are allocated to a project, both what comes in and what goes out.
My goal as the Club moves forward its to create financial reporting that makes it clear to all how money is gathered and expended. Don't get me wrong, we have solid reporting today, it's just not easy to pick out what goes where.
Yes, the Caterpillar Foundation is a BIG deal, and I am grateful to the donor as well.
