Hi, Outlaw star.
Welkum to 'Yellow Fever.
7T????????? I'm guessing that you're talking Cat D4s here. You might like to check that that 7T serial number is not actually 7J.
Next question: What parts specifically 'coz some would interchange but a lot of others would not.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi outlaw star
First check the Sn on the 7t? As deas said it could be a 7J or a 5T.
There is a big difference in the motors between the 7U and the earlier 7J , 5T .
The 7U uses a D315 engine and the earlier 4G, 7J, and 5T use a D4400 engine.
As for the trans some parts in the earlier machines will fit the early 7U.
Hope this helps
Regards
Daryl

Hi, Old Magnet and rax200.
When Outlaw star posted the '7T', I immediately thought that he had seen the 'J' as a 'T' and so didn't bother to mention the other 2 'Ts'. I 'figgered' that if he had been looking at either of them, he would have written either a 2 or a 5 as the prefix number.

Sorry I sent the wrong number. It's a 7J297W
The motor runs but the block is cracked the full length of the left side. Constantly leaking coolant. The rear corner is missing part of the casting. The original owner use sheet metal to patch it.

Hi, Outlaw star.
IF I am 'kee-wrecked', the engine from a 2T or 5T would be a fit, MAYBE from an early 6U 0r 7U but I don't have the serial numbers for the engine changes. This something that Old Magnet would be able to tell you.
