Hello fellas, I  haven't been on hear in a while. What is the best way to free up a stuck steering clutch on a 1954 D2. I have tried everything I  know to do except tear it down.
The tractor is #5U 13773

What have you done so far? I have gotten lucky before by adjustment to the maximum and riding the brakes to heat them up. Other times, not so lucky! JM

I broke mine free by chaining the blade to a tree- and tying the steering clutch lever back----the forward and reverse strain on the clutch seemed better than just towing a heavy implement

Hi, dependzic.
Interesting concept reversing the strain on the clutch multiple times to work it free. How long did it take?

Also, does it require a very big tree for a D2? LOL.

Just my warped sense of humor at work.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Deas it took maybe a couple of hours over a few days--I had the clutch compartments full of diesel also---only needed about a 6 inch tree as i chained to it low to the ground!
