Happy Thanksgiving ACMOC! I got the old girl serviced and have enjoyed pushing some dirt and clearing trees. I want to get my winch working and hope there are some Hyster Gurus amongst us. I got the cables freed up and have the spools moving freely on the winch. The winch drum doesn’t turn at all and doesn’t even seem to want to! I check the oil level and it is actually as little over full. I don’t have any hydraulic pressure (or oil) where the line coming from the pump enters the winch control valve housing. I marked the pipe plus where I checked for oil pressure. I plan to remove the top cover plate tomorrow and make sure the PTO shaft is turning. I plan to also remove the housing cover where the pump suction line is connected to the winch. I thought it would be a good idea to reach out to you guys for any tips or pitfalls I should be aware of. I really want this winch to work! I attached a few photos that might help explain my situation.

Hi, Craigtharpe.
Welkum too ther 4um. Looks like you might have a good one there. Fair warning is hereby served though. There are only TWO cures for 'yellow fever' - death by natural causes - or death by UN-natural causes, like shooting, stabbing, etc..
If you put your location in your profile, you may just find that some of these 'diseased persons' may live somewhere near you and have a fanatical desire to help keep you infected.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

They might be. I bet they are easy to find and even easier to replace! I don’t think I’m set up to handle that monster. I guess we’ll see once I get the hydraulics working.

oldmachineryitis a generally non fatal but incurable disease. i cuaght the bug when i was about 5yr old, 30 yrs later im still afflicted.
note this disease may be fatal if you upset the female of the species with your spending on old machines in preference to her.
