I went to adjust the belt on my 22 and the tightening side of the pully does not want to move. I have used PB blaster and tapped it with a brass drift but it is stuck. How would you hold one side and turn the other in that very limited space? There seems to be no good spot to use a drift or hammer to turn it. Any ideas??? Grant.

Have you tried removing the lock bolt and rotating it to the top then fill with loose juice? I have had to apply heat to free them up but the tractor was in pieces at the time. Skinner

I get a few feet of fencing wire put a loop of wire around that loosened lock bolt, and the other end of the wire looped through a track plate, that holds it in place so you can get it loose with a drift, helps for tightening too.

Block the tightening side with a long drift wedged in against something, then pull on the fan blade while judiciously applying some heat. Preferable to beating on the tightening side
