I am picking up a D9D 18A next month. Trying to get permits to haul it home. How much does it weigh?
I is the higher horsepower 18A, which the performance handbook says weighs 57,500. What does that weight include? I am guessing that is a wet weight with no options? This tractor only has a cab and track guards for options. Is it safe to say it is 60k?
Nebraska tractor tested one that weighed 66k but it looks like it has a hard nose (I assume winch as well), and something else on the front.

What do you all think it weighs? I need a close figure as I am borderline having to run pilot cars and bridge centerlines. If it is under 62K I am good.
Thoughts?

My 18A parts book says operating weight is 58,725 lbs, no attachments. That's going to be cutting it close to stay under 62,000.

From the parts catalog for the 18A and from a Caterpillar dealer sales information binder.
