Does this look like a cat blade? It is on the 7U D4 that I recently got home. Similar to the one on the 78A but not really the same, older version? Thanks, Mike

The hydraulics and lift system on the tractor are Cat but not the blade and C frame.

Ok thanks for the info, I hope it actually fits the tractor, purchased non running and blade was not attached. The blade on my other d4 seems to be built heavier and has the CAT nameplate on the top of blade. Know of any other manufacturers that were built similar enough to Cat to interchange parts? Thanks

I have a Wallace Universal Dozer blade on my D4 7U that looks like somewhat simular construction to that but not exactly the same. Perhaps just a different model of blade. Mine has a 3-way pin adjustment on each side. It was manufactured by Wallace Welding & MFG. Co., Inc, Foerst Grove , Oregon, 1953. I am talking just about the blade portion that is laying on the ground in your pictures. The part mounted on the cat is completely different than yours.

Hi Mike. That blade and c frame looks like the newer holt blade that is in on my 78A. Neighbor has one on his 78A as well.
