First start of a 1940 D8 1H6421SP that came from the the Alaska high way Job. The guy I bought it from said his dad had got it from there and then cleared about 3 or 4 quarters of land with it. He thought it was about 20 years or so the last time his dad had started it. He said he had never tried.
Had to clean the carb and put a new magneto on pony motor and it fired right up. The main diesel had stuck fuel rack and fuel pump plungers. I also had to put a different fuel transfer pump on and away it went.
