Board Minutes and concerns?

Our Director Jan Meermans was in attendance at Tulare CAFES last weekend helping the club recruit and meet with members/chapters. He asked folks to address any questions or concerns as well as drum up new members (thank you Jan).
I failed to raise the question for posting of Board Minutes, as others have asked me...
Curious as to when any of 2022 Minutes will be posted. It is almost MAY, and none. Sure, most likely someone is busy or I don't do enough for the group to volunteer.
Transparency? Some of us are aware of losing some Directors. When was that going to be addressed/announced? I am sure they put effort into the club and deserve some recognition or thanks for their service.
We do not know some of the new Directors; did they do a biography? I do not recall, did they get voted in? I must be asleep at the wheel or missed an issue of the magazine...
No gripes, just asking. Thanks, JM

I have just posted recent board meeting minutes. The only ones now "missing" are the ones from the March meeting which have not yet been updated pending corrections agreed at the April board meeting.
It is normal for minutes of a board meeting to be approved at the following board meeting prior to publication and so they will always be over one month in arrears.
I can only apologise that minutes from 2022 board meetings have not been published until now. This is down to me as I wanted to change the process for publishing minutes so that more than one person could do this. Up to now we have relied solely on Mary to do this, however, going forward I hope that not only Mary, but also myself and the board Recording Secretary will be able to do this.
As you will know, all board members are volunteers who give their time freely and some times, believe it or not, there are other priorities in our lives.
It is true that two directors have resigned, Ed Coughlin and Doug Hagan.
I would personally like to thank both Ed and Doug for their contribution to running the club.
As per the club bylaws, the board is able to appoint directors to fill vacancies caused by, e.g. resignation. Also the board can increase the number of directors by up to two, from 9 to 11.
Three strong candidates emerged, and so the board decided to appoint two to fill the vacancies caused by Ed and Doug resigning and also appoint a third director, thus increasing the number of directors to 10.
Loma Berndsen is appointed to serve out the term resulting from Doug's resignation until 2024, Tony Johnson to serve out Ed's term until 2023 and Kurt Bangert to serve until the end of 2022 as the additional director.
Biographies for the three new directors will appear in due course.

this is a point of meeting procedure the recording, typing, correcting and publishing of club meeting minutes is the responsibility of the club secretary. and no the club cant rely on just one person to run the office, pack orders and do other stuff too.
