Need to pull & replace sprockets on a 933 42A series. Does anyone know a source to rent/buy the sprocket press (believe it is the same as for D2)? Located in Western North Carolina. Thanks much!

You could try your local Cat dealer or a private mobile mechanic with the tools to do it. I can tell you by the time you pay someone to do it you can buy the hollow ram cylinder and pump and do it yourself. Theres nothing special about the adapters and can be made easily. Make sure to use grade 8 fasteners for the pullers.
Theres a lot of bushcraft methods to do it that someone else might suggest but I don't care to promote those.

You might try Erik Christenbury - he might know of someone that has one. But I'm with Scott - if you get a cheap hollow ram, you can do both the pulling and pushing with it and a couple of homemade adapters. I did my sprockets and steering clutches with mine - very convenient

if its a one off then its possibly not worth it to buy the gear.
and you may be able to borrow someone gear.
get a local track service to do it. if you can cart the machine yourself to their work shop it may be cheaper than paying the callout fee and travelling time.
ring around and ask.
if you know what the part numbers are for the cat tools even the old original tools the dealer may be able to supply them if you wanted to purchase.
and yes the local service agent should be able to help you. have the workshop manuals at the ready though.
