This turbo is at an auction in oz, GP 4MD659 TO SIUT CAT D334, P/N 2P3907
Wanted to know if it could be fitted to a d330 engine, or is it to large, the d334 being a 6 cylinder engine.
Thanks

Hi, Kenjeffery.
Turbos need to pretty closely matched to the engine on which they are fitted. If there is not enough exhaust gas coming out of the engine to drive the turbo, you will not get full boost. You may get some boost - - - - or you may be worse off if the impeller is not being driven fast enough to get sufficient air into the engine.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Never heard of a D334, there's D333's and D434's but I don't see any listing for a D334.

There's a D334 genset here in Rochester. Looks to be of 70s vintage. Don't know much about them

OK, had to get out the big book of rack setting charts.
There is a D334 92Bxxxx Industrial Engine and a 93Bxxxx Marine engine.
Both turbo-charged and aftercooled.

Thanks for the input,
thought it would be a long shot, but I don't think it will sell for much, and being full reco, might have been worth buying for the sake of it.
There is a good block for a d4 6u in the auction if anyone in Australia wants it.
