I went to a hydraulic shop 2 days ago and there was a Cat 10 sitting at the front of the driveway.. It had a blade and a front hydraulic pump. I expected to see one of the rare options of a rear starting crank. I got out to take a photo and "What, no starting crank". I then looked at the motor and it had an electric start. I had never heard of one on a Ten, so I took some photos. Someone did an very interesting job of welding a boss on the bellhousing and mounting a starter motor. I think my photos turned out OK.
The fellow is going to keep this one as yard art, but has a parts Ten for sale that I posted on our for sale section.

Hi, GrantJ.
Interesting adaptation. Thanks for sharing.
That would be a calf dozer, would it not?
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I also have a Ten with similar electric start, I was told the tractor was originally owned by a machinist, he did a nice job with what looks like factory electric start.

This one looked nice enough that it could easily have been mistaken for original. Good fabricators do some amazing things.
