Look for the fenders for the one with the winch. The early D4s with Hysters needed a strong bracket that bolted under the fenders and went to those top two Hyster mounting holes. The brackets are about 4 feet long and on the rear are very heavy steel mounting lugs. Later D4s came with the rear case strong enough not to need the brackets. That photo appears to me to be a "U" series and I believe that it was somewhere in the U series that they changed the rear case. Good Luck, Grant.. I will try to get a photo of the brackets today and post.

Hi Grantj,
If you look at this photo you will see the two mounts on top of the casing, this is what you need for the top mount.
The tractor is a D4 2T hope this helps.

RAX200, yes that is the bracket that is needed. The one that I have is welded to a long piece that bolts under the fender. I believe that it came off of a 2T originally but my dad had it on an RD4. I have the Hyster manual somewhere around here that I think shows the bracket with the long piece. I will have to find the manual and see if my memory is correct. Grant.
