Inclined to agree with you, changing oil isn't a bad thing. I've been using Chevron bulk oils, trans, hydraulic, etc. because of the local bulk plant. They service the company I work for also. Prefer Rotella in my engines though. Had ome questionable failures after using farm store branded oils and trying to stay away unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.

Spent the last two afternoons putting in the new clutch brake drum and shoe. Plus a new u-joint cross now that half needles from the old one are in the belly pan. The adjustment for the old brake was tightened all the way up. Had to pull the linkage apart and clean, oil, and anti-seeze it for adjustment. Keep in mind I never moved it from previous owner adjustment when I put on the last shoe. Now that I've got a new drum and shoe I had to do some serious adjustment to get the interlock to disengage from reverse where I had it locked to lay across the platform and work. It appears to be working as intended now. I'll post the rest of what I've come to learn over on my thread D6C jumping out of gear.
