Hi I’ve removed the pony motor from my D6B , and now having trouble finding a pinion to suit the teeth on flywheel as there not straight

Old Magnet is the Guru on these but I assume you need something
like this.

Do you have a starter now? and is it a Delco 40MT or 42MT?
Either one will also require the 1M0023 eccentric adapter due to the buzz bomb pony motors having a larger hole in the flywheel housing than the normal direct start drive end housing.
The starter drive you need is this one, along with the correct drive end housing.

I think a fella named Davis does the complete starter unit with the helical gear in Toowoomba Qld only as complete kit.

Hi Busso 20 yes John Davis sells complete setups and won’t sell individual parts, about $1800 for a setup. It’s good value if you want to go that way.

HI Stuss, yes I guess so, a little hard to justify if not used regular, I managed to sort both my pony's out and was lucky to secure another for a rebuild to be exchanged when needed after I build it.
