Need a picture of your generator and the drive housing, or even better the Delco number if you can make any part of it out.

I just went and it is reading 7.5 ohms between the post on the generator. The generator has a arrow on the case and its turning the rite direction. Was that delco number
1922201 rite? Would anyone have a delco number for a regulator.

Seems to be an odd ball generator (with single bolt pole shoe attachment?) Going to take me some time to track that down. More later.
Is the generator putting out any voltage at all?

The generator s/n is a Delco 1102725 originally 6V -30a, rotation is clockwise, minimum speed for full output current is 1600 rpm. Original armature is a Delco #1881288
Most closely matches a Cat generator part # 7F-7149.
That same generator in 12v would use a 6F9464 regulator good for 40a. Good luck finding one.
If the generator will pass the motor test there is no reason it should not generate. Did you check for actual voltage output?

After swapping parts from 4 other generators we had, finally found out the brush holder was junk. It looks just like the new one I got from the start and matches the Cat one it had in it from when I bought the grader. You can now polarize it and its charging. Thanks everyone for your help!!

Good on you!!! Like many electrical issues they turn out to be mechanical problems.
