Working on the hydraulic unit, it is the Caterpillar 2 spool unit on front.   For some reason, when you push the lever ahead, the cylinders move real slow, inward.   Instead of moving out.   Any ideas why this is happening?   I have the cover off, but wonder if there is something that can stick inside the valve?  I don't have a service manual for it.

I sm wondering if the hydraulic lines are crossed .Moving the control lever forward should extend the hydraulic cylinder rods to drop the blade. Pulling control lever back should retract cylinder to raise blade .Using one spool valve . 2nd spool valve would be used for rear cylinders for draw bar pulled equipment .

It still has all original steel lines, so can't be messed up. The rubber lines haven't been removed, so they are hooked as when it was working before. And yes, that is the way it should be, pull back to raise. It doesn't make noise like cavitation from air. Just odd..🤔 When you push the lever forward, they retract slowly and not much pressure either. I may be in need of one of these books! It is a 44 model, I believe an 8w series unit, 2 spool. I will check when I go back to the shop. I took the bypass valves apart, didn't see anything alarming.
