I think I may have found the S/N for the 8T written down in one of the parts manuals 12801, though it don't have the 8T prefix. It was written in pencil and a bit faded, the numbers are 12801 but the 1 is real faded and could be a 7. I'm pretty sure the 8T is an early to mid 1954 model from casting numbers and other tall tale signs such as starter boss not cut or drilled. Now the question do the numbers I found jive with the the year of the 8T? Do the numbers 12801 coincide with the year 1954 or am I barking up the wrong tree and just found some random numbers?

1954 8T production was from 8T12,221 to 8T14,800
