Diesel 35 cable dozer was created by Jed
I found a Diesel 35 cable dozer, serial 6E1809 and was wondering if anyone has some pictures of one they could post. I didn't get a chance to turn over the pony motor, too many wasps. At least the exhaust pipes are covered. Here are the pictures I took...What do you think?

I have taken the philosiphy that if it can be bought right, buy it. If you can't use it they are many out there that can. After I could have bought an R5 that had been shed kept but needed overhauled and a manifold for $1000, 10 years ago and the tractor was only about 8 miles from my house. I waited because I thought that tractor wasn't going anywhere and very few knew about it. I seen the owner this spring at another neighbor's estate sale and when I asked about it he replied that he scrapped it about 6 weeks prior along with the remains of a Cat sixty with a cable blade and old 20. There have too many of these old beasts melted down into the crap you now buy at Walmart. I have to go pick up a wide RD4 with a blade that I just bought from a junk man today. The crusher is coming next week. I hope the 955 doesn't go into the melter either. Just my thoughts.

Jed - That's a nice antique Cat find, and you better grab it before the scrap dealers do. It's fitted with a late 1930's/early 1940's genuine LeTourneau blade, complete with "headache rack" cable support frame, and what appears to be a LeTourneau single drum cable control. The whole setup is very collectible, and can only increase in value.

Nice Thirty Five here, in Finnings Canada, showroom antique collection .. www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/busi...ournal/news/business
