Does anyone have a good number for the D4 7J main engine oil pan gaskets, original numbers are 2A3697 and 2A3698, I've checked the Aussie Cat Dealer part search programs and neither numbers are recognised, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I tried searching old threads here using "2A3697" and "2A3698" and didn't get anything either.

I've got a weird oil pressure issue that I suspect is a worn oil pump, and I want to pull the sump to investigate, oil pressure when the oil is cold and when cranking with the pilot motor, and when the diesel first fires off, is a fantastic 34 pounds, but once the engine oil starts warming up over the next 15-20 minutes of running, you can see the oil pressure slowly but steadily dropping, at high idle the hot oil develops about 10-12 pounds pressure, but low idle is only 0-5 pounds, too low for my confidence. 

I know Cat say 5 pounds is plenty for the oil engines, but I don't like seeing a oil pressure gauge sitting on zero, I'm running it on 40W oil, and have tried 2 different oil pressure gauges, and even switched in a different 15W40 oil just to rule out that variable, but the results were the same. If I need to replace the oil pump gears L-793 and L-2164, does anyone have updated part numbers?

7H1299 replaces both 2A3697 and 2A3698, L793 updates to 4H8385 and L2164 to 4H8384.

There is no new number just add the zero's 0L0364.

L364 updates to 9M909, and 9M9405 replaces two L364.

Thankyou once again Josh, you get the Coaches Best on Field Award this week, though it had me a bit confused when you said "replaces two L364", but for the first time ever the Cat Dealer here in Oz showed a proper picture of the part, and I could see what you were talking about, but at $8.08 for the 9M9405, compared to $1.64 for the 9M0909, I think I'll stick to the singles.

Hi Daryl, I tried that number OL0364 on William Adams and Westrac websites yesterday and both didn't recognize it, over on Machinery Trader they show it cross referenced to 9M0909.

Hi Mike,
if you put in the old L364 just as you show modified to the new six digit system (OL0364 -- as copied from post above) part number as shown in your post above you have mixed a Numeral 0 with an Alphabet O which will not show as a valid Part Number.

OK, now I know what has happened and Eddie you hit the nail on the head, I've been putting a capitol O in front of those old L part numbers for years, when I should have been putting a 0!! Now you see why I keep telling people I'm dumber than dirt!! LOL

Thanks for that info Daryl, that's a fancy parts search program you have there, you are the D4 expert, do you know where I can find some 30 thou undersize bigend conrod bearings for a D4400 engine, part numbers are 5B3762 and 5B3761.

Our landline phone has crapped out again, 4th time in 2 weeks, Telstra are saying it will be discontinued in August, so obviously no big interest from them in repairing it, even though their mobile phone service is shocking here.
