I have just added links to a number of Cat safety film links to the library.
These link to Youtube videos.
Many of you will be familiar with these films some of which are preserved by Periscope Films.
I still "cringe" when I see some of them.

The latest additions today are parts catalogs for marine engines and service manuals for marine gears.
Not much use to landlubbers !
Also links to two Caterpillar promotional videos on youtube (courtesy of Periscope Films). One for the Direct drive D8H and one for the Powershift D8H.

Hi John,
Thanks for that, I just might think of getting a boat as the ground is so wet now it won't take long before she floods. The water is not even running of the hill around here now.
Regards

We ran a bunch of D8Hs today at chumduffy's playday. I'd say there were at least 5 of them, and for good measure a D8E and a D8K
Cheers,

It has been a while, but I have got around to adding some more back issue Magazines to the Library.
The latest are...
ACMOC Magazines Numbers 21 and 23 (Does anyone have an issue 22 they can scan and submit ?).
Chapter 2 Magazine No 22
I will aim to add a steady feed of these old magazines as there is a HUGE amount of information in them.
It would be really great to create an index of articles so the content can be searched...
Does anyone have any experience of such indexes, anyone willing to help out ?

I just added Issue 23 of the UK Chapter 2 Magazine from July 1999.
This has a table of torque values for bolts and capscrews as well as tightening sequences and torque values for many early cylinder head bolts!

We have just added a few more magazines.....
ACMOC Magazine issues 30 and 31
Chapter 2 (UK) magazine issues, 24, 25, 26, 27
I highly recommend reading these as there are some very interesting articles in them, as well as lots of technical information.
It would be really great to get a full set in the library for future reference, as well as an index of articles.
