New twist in the story. Having an issue now with the controls. This 46A has the tiller style hydraulic control which sits exactly where the controls for the CCU need to sit. I cant find a 3 lever setup in the manual. Anyone ever see a 3 lever setup?

Hi, kracked1.
You just keep coming up with issues, don'tchyer? LOL.
I musta missed this thread earlier. I suspect that this current control lever situation might be one that the 'the Great Yellow Father' didn't ever foresee. I also suspect that you might need to make another control lever arrangement close to the CCU controls for the hydraulics. I think it would be easier to modify the hydraulic control linkage to accommodate another lever than trying to modify the CCU linkages.
I have NEVER seen a 3-lever set-up but that is not to say that it couldn't be done or that there isn't one already existing. That said though, if you have 3 levers stacked one above the other, there might occasionally be some confusion about just which lever you are grabbing in a hurry.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I think I found it in the book. There is a set up for three levers when you had a 29 on the back and a 30 on the front. It looks like that wont be that hard to make the brackets for.

Hi, kracked1.
Good stuff. Now all yer gotta do is find one. Hopefully, there will be a Caterpillar dealer somewhere with one sitting on their shelves for the last 40 or 50 years. Maybe they'll even give it to you for free just to clear the shelf space.
If there is an assembly number shown in the book, you could try searching for that online.
