Hello, I've been searching for information on or a source for parts for a D7 7M that I am considering buying, if I can find parts to fix it. The clutch is disassembled and parts are lying around on the tractor. I am not sure why they took it out, I haven't looked closely at the parts yet, and the old man that owns it doesn't know much about why his son took the clutch out. Anyway, what I was wondering is, is there a source for linings for the flywheel clutch or would I have to get someone to make them for it? I have looked through General Gear's site and didn't see anything for it. I know the thermoids need replacing, I found them for sale on the internet. Also, I thought the engine on a 7m should have exposed push rod tubes, this one doesn't, am I missing something? Thanks

You will need part numbers to go searching for clutch parts.
The D8800 has push rods/covers exposed. If they are internal it's a D339 engine swap..

D7 9G engines have exposed style push rod tubes . D7. 7M and on have hidden pushrod tubes.

So there are variations of the dry clutch used between the 7M and 3T?

The dry cluch on 7m and 3t are maybe 80% the same parts with some different parts number

So is ready made friction pads available for either model or would I have to get it made by a clutch shop? That's all I was really asking, is anything available or would I be getting stuff made up/searching for old stock or used parts. I have not been back to get part numbers, but hopefully I will get to soon
