well none of the mason jars in the basement was small enuff, and none of my wifes herbal and remedy jars would work. However a bit of 3/4 cu pipe, 1/2 a coupling and a cap seem to serve beautifully. great website

Congratulations! you just saved yourself some money and created basically the same thing CAT sells these days.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

Dear Mr Chugwater, Thanks for the input on resto supply. I will look for a website. I,m curious how much stuff is available to bring a machine back, like gages and tools (mine had a track cleaning tool hooked on the bonnet when i got it ,which i lost in the snow. never found with repeated effort) But you know what they say," If it aint broke dont fix it. So im happy with my cob job. cheers pete

I just walked into the Cat dealership and bought one off the shelf. It's a little different shape from the original but same size and works. It's not an uncommon part request as they get water in them and freeze.
