While doing a search in my shop for parts for my 3J1 project, I found these. Two heavy castings 1A228. My old NPR skips  this CAT number. I know they came  from Cornell Tractor in Salinas CA a long time ago. Bill

That's pretty interesting. Was this standard part to convert to wide gauge? Seen plenty of 6U D4 here converted to WIDE, never encountered a D2 or smaller, or at least paid attention.JM
