i have seen many of the manuals on ebay but they all appear to be for different and newer rollers
i have been in contact with the Huber museum so fingers crossed they can find out some history on it
unfortunately the governor linkage arm has been broken off in the past and been replaced with some angle iron as can be seen in the photo
my next task is to pull the radiator, donkey engine (which does run but has a concerning amount of end play which will need to be addressed) and then pull the main engine
i will try to get as many photos for you all as possible

Open the can of worms and let the fun begin. Looks like a really cool project, finding d3400 parts probably won't be impossible but Huber roller parts might be challenging.

Made some good progress today, radiator and donkey engine removed.
Tomorrow will be pulling the main engine
Very pleased with condition of everything so far.
Anyone have any spare D3400 radiator tags?

succeeded in lifting the engine out of the roller today.
the weigh loader system on the road railer we used showed it a few kilos over 0.5ton of engine and bell housing

I like that the pony pinion is easily accessible. It would have been great if the tractors were like that

he's talking metric tonnes. a imperial ton (long tons) 1016kg or 2240 lb were as the us ton (short tons) is 907kg or 2000lb.
and if its dry it would weigh a bit less there's nearly 40kg just in coolant so without oil too i reckon around 60 to 70kg less.

Hi Mike, per Ron Nash:
"The basic engine with pony weighs 1890lbs. With a radiator attached .. and possibly the clutch as well? - you'd best allow about 2300lbs. The power unit fitted with enclosed clutch, radiator and sheet metal, and mounted on I-beam skids weighs 2770lbs"
so basically 1 ton give or take as caterpillarsam has it in the Huber. Sam, what was included in the weight? Radiator, pony, fluids?
Cheers,
Neil
