FIFTEEN or 22 engine question

I'm looking for the center-center dimension crank to cam. I need to find or make a new crank gear. Could also use a good camshaft, getting ready to just spray weld the one we have.

I could tell you exactly but I haven't got to tearing down my 15 engine I'm about to rebuild.
Would be easier to find one since they're helical. Check with Chad Eyneart in Laramie WY. He may have what you need.
Most likely their 8DP 2:1 ratio so it is pretty easy to determine the center distance using gear calculation formulas.
I attached a link.

Thanks side-seat, I was looking for the dimension to check my numbers from the formula. Every time I buy gears I hear how they are nice and usable, burnt twice, what I received was worse than what I was trying to replace. It's a straight helix so not a big deal. Just wondering if I make the crank gear from 1045 if it will get along OK with the old cast cam gear. Did a practice grind on the cam today, looks OK so I'm going to spray it. I'm sure their is still good parts out there but I'm not having good luck finding them anymore.

Thanks side-seat, along OK with the old cast cam gear. Did a practice grind on the cam today, looks OK so I'm going to spray it.

So you can re grind your cam? That sounds interesting.

Can't just re-grind this cam, it's already been re-ground once in the far past and water has pitted it deeply on two lobes. I plan to spray weld it up about .030 then grind it again. I am amazed at the work these guys did back in 1930, the profile of that old cam almost meets today's design specs. I used a computer to trace the lobes, a cad program to design the master cams and cut them on a CNC mill. These guys did it with paper, pencil and manual machines. They really make me feel inadequate.
