Of Course, yet another question.
I have started the pony aprox. 20 times since I got it, and it always runs great. I started it yesterday and the right head got extremely hot (spit sizzling HOT). Left head seemed normal. The machine was facing down a pretty steep grade when I started it. Any idea on why it would get so hot, and on one side only?

Could be air locked...open vent valve on top of pony manifold to bleed all the air out.
Or more than likely the pony head area is full of mud/crud as they are notorious for collecting sediment. Pull the heads off and probe/flush the water jackets out. Not a big job and you may even be able to reuse the head gaskets if they don't get tore up in the process.

I'll give it a shot. One and then the other. Can you describe the valve and the location for me. Probably find it when I look, but don't know about it or have ever seen it at this point.
Thanks again!!

The petcock valve (similar to the cyl head drains) should be on top of the pony manifold just above and to the right of the run/start quadrant. Have run across some that didn't have one and didn't even have provision (raised boss) for it either.
