Do these look serviceable for a hobby D4 2T? Oval holes on the sleeve and the pinion teeth are worn mainly due to there being no bolts at all holding the sleeve to the shaft.. hoping the flywheel ring gear teeth are ok..
The machine came to me with a spun rod bearing in the pony engine, so I haven’t seen it run, I’m guessing they would have had to hold the pinion sleeve onto the shaft with the engagement lever as the latch with the 2 teeth was broken too. Sourced one of them from Florin and the bolts and foldover locks. Was going to try and red locktite it all and see if that held.. I had thought maybe because the pinion wasn’t held to the sleeve with any bolts it would have been floating on the shaft causing it to mesh/clash at any time causing the wear?

Photo took a bit to upload, I tried to reply sooner. Anyway this is my pinion gear. Yours looks pretty rough and I’d be concerned you’ll tear up your engagement gear.
My sleeve is in better shape too. If yours only has the worn hole I would look at building that up and reboring the appropriate size.
Have fun-Bernie

Second Bernie's statement on the sleeve. If you can get the holes built up, rebored correctly, and also the button on the end that the engagement lever bears on, then it should be serviceable. Not sure about the pinion gear but it looks like it still has plenty of life left in it. The teeth always wear on the end like that, particularly when engaged rotating. If you dry fit the assembly and take a look at its engagement, then you can decide whether to reuse it. I probably would because the problems I've seen come from inadequate clutch / brake operation, and poor latch operation - fix those, and it might just work perfectly.
Cheers,

if you re-use the gear, it might not hurt to re-point the worn face in a lathe & some hand work for better engagement, like the opposite end of the gear. that way it will go into mesh more cleanly and not bumping on the tapered root.
