Now that you all have convinced me to borrow a truck. I need some input on loading it. The drop deck trailor has a dove tail with fairly steep ramps. My brothers have a D4 and an RD4 with cable blades. So a I robed the cable blocks off the blades and strung the cable through them. They are both double pulleys. I have figured out that you get 8' of movement on the block with 33' movement on the pull line. This is about a 1' to 4' ratio. Do you think a 3020 JD will pull the line to get it loaded? Any advice welcome.

You can load that quite easily by using the tractor to pull on the tracks, pulls much easier than a straight pull on the tractor. The blocks with the cable will work fine but if it get difficult, pull on the tracks. We once loaded a RD-8 with a Ford F-250 on a detachable neck trailer after his hydraulic winch powered out-- by pulling on the tracks. The trucker thought we were crazy telling him we could pull the cat with a pickup. When we rolled it up on the trailer he just shook his head in disbelief. You try it, you will be suprised.
Best regards and happy hauling

That makes sense. I never thought of that one. That will be plan B. Thanks!

Try pulling the tractor up onto the trailer backwards using the pully system, they seem to roll easier and go up the ramps straiter.
