Model D2 Trackson

I just got the D2 trackson model and am wondering if there was supposed to be a crank to turn the cable hoist to pose the bucket. Right now I have no clue as to how to raise it so it can be posed other than the way it came in the all the way down position.
I am new to this board so i hope this is ok to ask a model question here.
Thankyou in advance for any help.

When Lee gets back from Woodland he will probably be able to answer your question. I wish I could help you, but I don't have one.

Hi David,

It appears that the drum on the winch is fixed in its position. I'm not sure why the model was designed that way, but suspect it was physically impossible to make the drum rotate.

If you want to pose it in an up position, one way to do it would be to tie the cables shorter at the loader end. You may want to leave the excess cable attached so you can reverse the process in the future. Finding a way to hide the excess will be the challenge.

I just noticed the location on your post. I graduated from Tracy High School, so have been in the school gym in Balaton a few times. It was more than a few years ago!

Yes, it is OK to discuss any subject related to Caterpillar on this BB.

Regards,
Lee
