Cat Ten oil cups for flywhee and steering clutches was created by PT3090

I am putting the finishing touches on my Cat Ten. Regarding the oil cups for the flywheel and steering clutches - In cleaning them up, it appears as though they were originally painted black (over the brass). Would it be correct to paint these black? Any original photos show the color of these?
