Heads are off, poured 1/4 inch of diesel fuel above all pistons, let sit for a few days and than pulled with the D7, no chance but broke winch cable and a chain ,then drank wine. Any thoughts on what I might try next?
D7 Doug D7 3T, D6 9U, D8 2U, D2 3J, lots of IRON no worky:cool:

The last resort......tear down:)
Probably wouldn't run well for long even if you did get it loose.
You might try some of that funny smelling stuff....Kroil, phosphoric acid, or the secret blend of 50% acetone and ATF. The wine works...but not on the engine:D

I have a d2 that was froze. I pulled it around for about 20 min was perty discouraged went home and slept on the problem. I tried pulling it backwards and sure enuf it come out put it in a forward gear so it turnes the motor the other way and give it a shot. I also used about a gal of krol oil to i poured it in every where you could think.

I use two 20 ton bottle jacks and a couple of chains. Stuck a 4x4 in the sleeve on top of the pistons. Put the jacks on top of 4x4. Hook the chains to something solid on the left side run the chains of top of jacks and hook to something solid on right side. I made a bracket to fit over jack so chain did not slip off with a piece of pipe and channel iron. Make sure the pistons are going the same direction 1&6 2&5 3&4. Put some pressure and penetrating oil on them. If the don't move let them sit over night.

You could try getting a bar on the flywheel ring gear through the pointer hole.
You will get much more advantage on the pistons by this way or the jack method mentioned than you will by trying to pull it. If you can get it to move a little one way, try to move it the other way and work it back and forth. Kroil is good, let it soak, don't give up.
I have free'ed stuck engines by setting a chunk of dry ice on top of each piston to shink them. Caution this method has been discounted by many on the internet. It can't hurt anything and I see dry ice is available at Safeway for a dollar a pound.
Let us know what hapens.
Tom
