Identifying Non Current Caterpillar Engines

More

Hi Team,
the scans below may be helpful to those searching for data on non current Caterpillar Industrial, Marine and Generator Set engines.
Some Serial Number prefixes are used for various size/model engines and it can be confusing to ID your particular engine --for a 9J prefix S/No it could be either a or a D17000, D13000, D11000, D8800, D7700 or even a D3400 for example all depending on the actual starting numerals of the S/No.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Thank you very much, I was able to narrow down the age of my D8800 power unit.
