Traffic issue on I-5 during show was created by cr

Currently Interstate 5 through Sacramento is under reconstruction in an area known as the Boat Section because it runs parallel to the Sacramento River and below grade.

During the show weekend the South Bound lanes will be closed.

I drove south on I 5 this afternoon leaving the BSOT show site and watched with interest as the northbound lanes are closed. I think they had all of the end dumps in N. Cal lined up and more concrete breakers and saws than I have ever seen in one place. Considering the closure had only been on for about 16 hours they had made amazing progress.

I believe it's another CC Meyers project; he has the ability to keep some of our major arteries open and on schedule.

I see that it is a project for about a month. Started 30 May. Now those detours just add to driving on the "wrong" side whilst in Woodlands!!
