I caught most of the Best of Show on RFD. It was very good to see all the old iron with plenty of history added. All the speakers were very articulate. I got a real kick out of one hand starting an engine by rotating the flywheel with his foot- great touch. I even heard ACMOC mentioned. What fun. Better than a week of regular television.

Doug,
Without seeing the program, I am going to make an assumption that the tractor that was being started by foot, was most likely a Rumley Oil Pull, which is sop on those big tractors. The single cylinder ones are 900ci

Soapy-

It was, I believe, a Best 60. He filled the priming cup(s) and just used his foot on the flywheel (on top of the bar holes) rotating it a little at a time. When the mag retard clicked it took off!

Thanks to Tom Madden and Willie et all (I'm guessing the Petaluma crew) for the great show!!!

Daron (Whose RD-7 was picked up this evening by Garlic Pete and his crew (his two daughters and brother in law))

Soapy, the tractor started by foot was a Best 75.

It will be repeated on Sunday evening on RFDTV. Look for the Classic Tractor show I believe @ 6 PST.

Off to Woodland in few more minutes for our weekly show meeting.

Hi Tom, I missed the show, but I will try again on Sunday. Is that the show that was tapped in Feb. at the Wallace Ranch? If so, I was there helping and met you in the afternoon. I can't seem to able to be able to download the registration form for the Dinner. If you could just put me down for it, that would be great. As I told Wllie, I will be there on wed. to help you guys with whatever you need. Joe Giraud:)

Hi Willie, I had a ton of fun up there helping you guys out. As I stated on my earlier post, put me down for the dinner on Sat. My computer locks up when I try to download the registration form. PM me if you will be home tonight, I'll give you a buzz if you will. Need to get my Dodge WC12 Pick up ready for our Calif. Dodge Power Wagon Rally in Hollister this coming weekend. Take Care. Joe:D
