I gotta tell you guys that this Galic Pete shows up yesterday from 300 miles away with a D7 dozer ,High10 and a ugly little Red tractor for the show unloaded his stuff at the Best Ranch and went to work hauling machines from Wallace Ranch and the Joe Heidrick Collection to the Best Ranch all day. He is planning to same thing every weekend between now and the show
We had and army og people at th Wallace Ranch working on the Holt 45, Best 110, My holt California Specail Harvester and many others machines. While Myself, Geo. Rankin and my son did a bunch of tightening and ajusting on the Holt 1004, got it tuned up pretty good,well as good as we could for a 100 yr.old very used tractor. Then loaded on Petes rig heaed for Best Ranch and needless to say he was pretty ecited to haul the olest known Holt crawler 1908 Holt 25-40 No. 1004 Thanks Pete for the help

Great looking 100 year old tractor Willie
that would be something special to hear her running. Not many around at that age
let alone in running condition.

And looks like Garlic Pete put a pretty nice paint job on his big ol' FWD truck.;)

Keep the pictures coming
have fun!!!!

Thanks for letting me help, and for letting me haul the 1004. It was really an honor. I made it home this morning at 8:30 am, just in time for my daughter's awards ceremony at school. My wife said I could stay as long as I made it to that and my direct deposit for my paycheck was set up!

I just talked to MikeMc and he and I will be up Saturday morning, ready to work.

What a difference a paint job can make, eh Delta? Don't worry, I still have my FWD. Still haven't had time to fix the frontend, yet, but that's on the list for this fall. My Mom decided that she was tired of riding on top of a screaming Jimmy, yelling back and forth at each other and roasting. She picked out this nice, 1983 Pete with a Cummins 400 and 13 speed. Now I'll be spoiled!

We had an exciting time with the Chapter 5 guys. Willie set me up on a Holt 45 with sticky brakes and a shifter no one new how to work. I've driven twin sticks in a truck, but never on a tractor before! I discovered that an RD4 has a hard time pulling a 45, especially sideways! It was pretty exciting trying to negotiate the 45 out of the shop, not kill the RD4 and pull start it, all at the same time.

When the brakes got stuck on, we had to get a Sixty running behind the 45 to pull it backwards. Good thing we had the Chapter 5 crew on the job. I think poor Jr. pulled his guts out barring 60s, 45s and the Midget, but they all got started eventually. I know that Glenn wore the palm of his hand off trying to start the 45 that we finally decided to pull.

Having seen it first hand, I have to tell everyone out there that Tom was right. This is going to be the show of a lifetime I already saw at least three separate groupings of tractors where there were more of a given model parked together than have probably been together since the factory. The delta breeze was blowing so it was nice and cool all weekend, and I think we have a pretty good chance for that kind of weather on the show weekend.

Don't miss this show if you can help it.

I'll attach some of my pictures to whet your appetite.

Pete.
