Hi guys I’m fitting new clutch links to my D7 3T, only one broken lucky but the rest didn’t look to good either , the old girl had been sitting 50 years before I got it reckon the links are a bit perished maybe.
The new links have outside stamped on then , the old ones were fitted the wrong way then?
Anyone see any reason to fit them opposite to what they say ; maybe couldn’t read 50 + years ago ?

Should be installed correctly with outside as stated. There is an option you may consider that came out with later D8's and that is to set the links up to push instead of pull.

Thanks OM Yes I’ll put them in the correct way, and have them pulling as they were .

But it was updated to pushing rather than pulling. Now is the time to change it over.
